ReRunning Our Sample Project

  1. Restart Eclipse and Run sample project
  2. Set Browers Permentally in Eclipse
  3. Make Sure Firefox 24 Automatically Updating Is Turned Off
  4. Retry Development Mode Again
  5. Video
o Select the app:–> sample
o Click:–> Run As
o Select:–> Web Application
o Right-Click on the URL
http://127.0.0.1:8888/Sample.html?gwt.codesvr=127.0.0.1:9997
o Select from Open With:–>
firefox24
o Ummmm, firefox24 disappeared
o First let us get the path for the firefox executable
H:gwtsandboxbinfirefox24
o Select:–> Window — Preferences
o Select: General — Web Browser
o Click:–> New
o Enter for Name: firefox24
o Location enter path: H:gwtsandboxbinfirefox24
o Append firefox executable: firefox.exe
o Click OK

o THIS WAS A PAIN!
o While creating this tutorial, I had to reinstall, reinstall..,
reinstall firefox.
o Go to H:gwtsandboxbinfirefox24
o Start:–> firefox.exe
o Select:–> Tools – Options – Update
o Unselect “Automtic install updates”
o Unselect “Check for updates”
o Unselect “Search Engines”
o Select “Never Check for updates”
o Click Ok

o Right-Click on the URL

o Select from Open With:–>

o Select from Open With:–>

o The GWT application shows
“Web Application Starter Project”
o Click the [Send] button
o The application will do a “Remote Procedure Call” to
the server and display a dialog.
o Success!
